US Inflation Falls To 3.4%

The United States has announced that in April, the non-seasonally adjusted annual CPI rate was 3.4%, as anticipated, with a previous value of 3.5%. The non-seasonally adjusted core CPI annual rate for April stood at 3.6%, in line with expectations but lower than the previous value of 3.8%. Additionally, the core CPI experienced a monthly decrease of 0.3% in April, marking its lowest level since December.

As a result of the slightly lower than expected CPI data, traders have increased their speculation that the Federal Reserve will implement interest rate cuts in September and December.
