Such a move is the first of its kind by a bank in Hong Kong, and it is deemed to enlarge the usage of cryptocurrencies within Hong Kong. Presently, cryptocurrency ETFs such as CSOP Bitcoin Futures ETF, CSOP Ethereum Futures ETF, and Samsung Bitcoin Futures Active ETF are listed on the Hong Kong exchange.
Furthermore, HSBC has introduced the Virtual Asset Investor Education Centre, a feature where investors are required to meticulously go through and confirm the educational resources and risks involved before opting to invest in any virtual asset-related products accessible through HSBC HK Easy Invest app, HSB CHK Mobile Banking app, and online banking.
