The NEAR Foundation, a non-profit organization that focuses on developing the NEAR protocol ecosystem, has partnered with Alibaba Cloud, the computing and storage division of Chinese tech giant, to promote Web3 growth in Asia and the Middle East.
As part of the partnership, the NEAR Foundation will leverage Alibaba Cloud’s developer ecosystem to attract more developers to build on the NEAR protocol. Additionally, Alibaba Cloud’s “plug-and-play” infrastructure will be offered for developers who wish to launch new NEAR validators. To supplement this, the partnership will also offer remote procedure calls (RPC) as a service to developers and users in the NEAR ecosystem.
Furthermore, both organizations will provide multi-chain indexing, which will be used to offer data query API to developers. Lastly, users will be able to use the NEAR Blockchain Operating System (BOS), which lets developers build into and interact with other users, while utilizing Alibaba Cloud’s infrastructure.
