Starknet, a layer 2 solution for the Ethereum blockchain, has successfully implemented its “Quantum Leap” upgrade. This upgrade is aimed at boosting transaction speed by increasing the number of transactions per second (TPS) and reducing confirmation times on the blockchain. Following its deployment on the Goerli testnet, a community vote resulted in 97.91% agreement to proceed with the mainnet launch. Throughout testing, TPS reached a peak of 90 on several occasions, consistently hovering around 37 TPS. StarkWare, the company behind Starknet, had previously stated that TPS would exceed 100 after the implementation of Quantum Leap.
