Iranian Government Facilitates Cryptocurrency Payments for Cross-Border Trade

The Iranian government has recently taken measures to simplify cryptocurrency payments for companies engaging in cross-border trade. A dedicated platform has been launched to permit local businesses to transfer digital currency and conduct cross-border settlements for imports. Alireza Peymanpak, the head of the Iranian Trade Promotion Organization, confirmed that permission has been granted by the Central Bank of Iran for the use of cryptocurrencies in settling imported goods. A specialized platform has also been established to connect local companies with foreign counterparts and facilitate the use of digital coins for cross-border payments.
