As per information provided by three sources familiar with the matter, Amazon is preparing the necessary infrastructure to enable its customers to buy non-fungible tokens (NFTs) linked to physical assets that will be shipped to their address. Additionally, the company plans to inform all Amazon Prime customers in the US of its upcoming digital collectibles program.
Through this initiative, Amazon’s customers could acquire an NFT associated with a real-world product, such as a fashion item, and complete the purchase using a credit card, similar to any other transaction on the Amazon platform.
