Oasis has introduced Sapphire, a new Ethereum-compatible privacy blockchain, with the objective of promoting the development of privacy-first, cross-chain DApps within the Ethereum ecosystem and smart contract blockchain networks. This means that decentralized applications can now benefit from enhanced privacy features through Oasis’ confidential EVM-compatible blockchain, without the need for cross-chain swaps.
The director of the Oasis Foundation has highlighted that a substantial number of DApps being created on Oasis prioritize privacy, providing users with complete control over their on-chain data and its sharing and accessibility. This emphasis on privacy is evidenced by the assortment of tools and platforms that have been developed within the Oasis ecosystem.
